In the past ten years, the world has seen many bright young stars in motion pictures and television shows. Some of these young actors and actresses have already made quite a career for themselves and here’s a list of ten of the most popular child stars from the first ten years of the new millennium.
1. Dakota Fanning – After beginning in small TV roles, Fanning branched out into major feature films, including Steven Spielberg’s “War of the Worlds” and the adaptation of the Dr. Suess classic “ The Cat in the Hat.”
2. Hilary Duff – Duff was the star of Disney’s “Lizzie McGuire” and the successful big screen adaptation “The Lizzie McGuire Movie.”
3. Abigail Breslin – This young actress has appeared in the films “Signs” and the Academy Award nominated “Little Miss Sunshine.”
4. Chloe Moretz – Another bright young star, Moretz has appeared in “(500) Days of Summer” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and has many upcoming movies.
5. Jaden Smith – Will Smith’s son has branched out into feature films, making his debut in “The Pursuit of Happyness” and starring in the remake of “The Karate Kid.”
